27/11/2024
FotografiaAs part of Work Package 4 (WP4) of the Digital Stories project, two successful small-scale meetings were held in Portugal to develop a comprehensive recommendation framework to promote digital storytelling techniques in education. The framework included the design of a digital storytelling curriculum, innovative techniques, and actionable recommendations for decision-makers, stakeholders, and the target audience.

The first meeting took place online via Google Meet on November 19, 2024, with 17 participants, including 2 representatives from Virtual Campus. Although only 9 participants signed the digital attendance sheet, all attendees were educators from primary and secondary schools, bringing valuable insights and practical perspectives to the discussion. The diverse range of experiences and expertise in pedagogy among the participants was instrumental in shaping the digital storytelling curriculum and formulating relevant recommendations.
The second meeting was organized by Virtual Campus at Escola Secundária Alberto Sampaio in Braga on November 26, 2024, just before the Multiplier Event scheduled for the same day. This session attracted 29 participants, all of whom were educators from primary and secondary schools. Their strong focus on teaching and education provided essential insights into curriculum development.

These meetings highlighted the importance of collaboration among educators in shaping effective digital storytelling practices. The discussions during these sessions contributed significantly to the ongoing efforts to enhance educational methodologies and support teachers in incorporating digital storytelling into their classrooms. The insights gathered helped ensure that the recommendations developed are both practical and impactful for the educational community in Portugal.
